of tsunami and earthquakes

called 8-6-6 desa universiti last night... to make sure that everyone's okay...

the quake was one of the world's strongest quakes ever, even the niigata and hokkaido earthquakes were only 7.4 and 8.1 respectively... a preliminary magnitude of 9.0... and the tsunamis... aftershocks... never thought that particular region would be striked by earthquakes... thailand's koh phi phi, malaysia's penang island, indonesia, laos, sri lanka, india...

penang island... home for the past 2years, batu ferringhi beach... i pray that the lord's protection be with all the penangites... people need the lord more than ever... this christmas season...

speakin of christmas... ps gary and mom carol overheard this jap lady at the cashier at the matsyzakaya departmental store, grumbling.. on why do they have to play those carols and songs bout jesus over and over again... she even said that "we japanese, we aint no christians, what is this fuss bout jesus during the christmas season!!" then, the cashier lady lean over to her, told her that christmas is actually about celebratin christ jesus' birthday... from another japanese eh! there's hope in this nation of japan! people need to know that christmas is all about jesus and people need to know about John 3:16...had the chance to share this with my friend, ping-yu, this morning on the way to uni...

well, my heart's with penang right now... i pray that the lord grant the leaders of the island-state wisdom... in handling crisis, pray that the churches in penang, united as one church of christ jesus, witnessing for jesus... people need the lord more than ever this time around... pray for souls to be comforted, hearts warmed & touched, and love experienced... not forgetting those sri lankans too...
